What is Devotion?
Beyond religion and dogma, devotion is a living relationship.
You may call it God, Goddess, the Universe, Nature, the Divine, or the Cosmos… but devotion begins when the mind softens and the heart listens.
For me, devotion was not something I could understand intellectually. It was something I had to experience. It wasn’t until I traveled to India and immersed myself in yoga and dance that devotion moved from an idea into my body.
My heart was blown open.
Devotion took hold and rooted itself within me.
Through movement, breath, rhythm, and stillness, I began to remember who I am beneath the layers of expectation and effort. Devotion revealed itself not as striving, but as sweetness… an intimacy with life itself.
Devotion carries us beyond suffering and into our true nature: joy, bliss, love. It gently moves us beyond the ego and into right relationship with that which created all things. We are lifted and carried by an ocean of love that already lives within our own hearts.
Devotion is dedication, commitment, service, affection, and reverence.
Devotion is love… unconditional and whole.
This path has been shaped by years of study in classical Indian dance, yoga, meditation, and my travels through India. It is a path I now walk with other women through ritual, movement, and circle.
✨ Where does your devotion reside? ✨
On February 14, I invite you into Temple of Love, an online women’s circle and ritual devoted to reconnecting with the sacred love within. To join us or learn more, visit HERE.
